You know how hard it can be living with your dog when he does not listen to you at all. Several reasons could be the cause for him not listening and they are all correctable. Now one of the main problems that I had with my dog not listening is he was not sure what his name was. The first step that I used to help get my dog to learn his name was I would constantly repeat his name. Now at first he would look around or my other dog would start coming to that name to. However, I finally figured out that when doing that I would have to be in an area one on one with him. Once I had him away from the other dogs he started to realize that oh hey no one else is here so it must be me that they are talking about.

The other method that I had to use to get him to learn his name was having him sit in front of me and look at me. Once I got him to look at me I played the name game with him. I would just keep repeating his name while he was looking at me. Now this worked out really well and also started him on getting trained to.

A big problem that I found and you might make the same mistake or you might not is naming your dog similar to your other dogs. Now if you do this no matter how well you train your dog to his name when you call one you will most likely get both of them running at you. Now this might not be bad if you want them both, but if they are both large breed dogs then you might have to run away yourself because of them jumping on you.

Getting your dog to listen to you can be a challenge at times. However, one of the first things that you have to determine is that your dog knows his name. If your dog does not know his name then obviously he will not listen to you at all.
