Above ground swimming pool care is one thing that many people do not even consider when they get all excited about purchasing a pool or opening a pool. Now that the pool is up they begin to consider the ramifications of what they purchased and how much the above ground swimming pool care and upkeep is going to cost them. When they receive the water bill from filling the above ground swimming pool they being to consider even more how much of an investment they made for the summer time fun that they can enjoy. Here are some tips that can help you manage your above ground swimming pool care even better than what you think is possible.

Check Chemicals In Your Above Ground Pool Daily

The first tip is that you will want to make sure that you check your above ground swimming pool chemicals on a daily basis. Now you might think that this is a little bit of overkill by checking the chemicals on a daily basis, but if you consider that the suns heating will cause some of the chemicals to evaporate and it can cause a change in the water conditions on a daily basis you will want to ensure that the chemicals are in perfect balance.

Vacuuming Your Pool Is Important

The second tip to help you with your above ground swimming pool care is to ensure that the pool gets vacuumed at least twice a week. Now you might not realize that even though you cannot see the dirt on the bottom of the pool it is present and can be harmful to you. Not only that if your above ground swimming pool is located anywhere near trees then you can get little small twigs that you cannot even see because of the water that blow into your above ground swimming pool even with a solar cover on them and if you are not careful enough you can step on these items and hurt your foot or the pool liner itself.

Check The Filter Baskets Daily

The third tip that can help you with the above ground swimming pool care is that you will want to ensure that you check the filter baskets on a daily basis as well. Even with a solar cover or other form of cover on top the baskets will be surprisingly full quite often. In fact my basket gets full so often that the last time that my above ground swimming pool was open the basket had to be checked twice daily to ensure that it wouldn’t get clogged.

Above ground swimming pool care is not something that you want to cut back on. If you do not perform the proper care and maintenance your above ground swimming pool could easily become an above ground swimming pool nightmare. Just remember the old saying an ounce of prevention can go a long way that is especially true when you are dealing with your above ground swimming pool care.
